FAQs

What is the difference between menopause and perimenopause?

Menopause has occurred following 12 months without a period. Doctors can also do a blood test checking the levels of FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) to see if menopause has occurred. Menopause usually occurs between the ages of 45-55, with the average age in the United States being around 51.

Perimenopause is the period of time preceding menopause, when fluctuating and/or decreasing hormone levels can cause uncomfortable symptoms. Menstrual periods may be irregular or less frequent. The perimenopause can begin as early as age 40 or younger, and extend for 5 or more years.

What are the symptoms associated with perimenopause?

Symptoms can include irregular periods, hot flashes, dry skin, vaginal dryness, mood swings, memory loss, anxiety, decreased libido, painful intercourse, sleep disturbances, water retention and bloating.

I’m only 32 years old. Can my symptoms be related to perimenopause?

Although more likely to occur after the age of 40, symptoms of perimenopause can occur earlier, at age 32 or even younger. Speak to your doctor, who may want to do further diagnostic testing. If your symptoms are related to perimenopause, this may be an excellent opportunity to get the benefits of PreMenora, a solution for the widespread and diverse symptoms associated with the perimenopause.

How will PreMenora help my perimenopusal symptoms?

Your symptoms can be wide ranging and diverse. Therefore your solution should contain ingredients that can ameliorate a wide range of diverse symptoms. The ingredients in PreMenora have effects which include phytoestrogenic for low hormonal levels, diuretic for water retention and bloating, cognitive for memory, and anti-anxiety for mood swings and stress. In addition, the muscle relaxing effects can help sleep disturbances and even painful intercourse, and general well being may be enhanced by the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

If you take PreMenora+, you will also get the beneficial effects of calcium for your bones.

Should I ask my doctor for HRT (hormonal replacement therapy) to treat my perimenopausal symptoms? What about the recent NIH studies?

When HRT is prescribed, it is usually for the short term treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats and for moderate to severe symptoms of vulvar and vaginal atrophy. It is also effective for the prevention of bone loss (osteoporosis) associated with the menopause.

Because of concerns related to the association of HRT with breast cancer and recent NIH studies regarding heart disease, it is recommended that its use be limited to the period of time necessary to treat the above symptoms, and for women at significant risk of osteoporosis and for whom non-estrogen medications are not considered to be appropriate.

Since the perimenopause can last for several years, and women are still menstruating, it is less likely that HRT will be prescribed during this time. This is an excellent opportunity to consider PreMenora, a natural approach and a wide ranging solution for a smooth transition through your perimenopausal years. Also, PreMenora+ provides for the Calcium supplementation you will need for bone loss.

If I start PreMenora during my perimenopausal years, can I continue it through my menopause?

Absolutely. Symptoms of perimenopause may continue or even worsen following the onset of menopause. You can start PreMenora prior to developing symptoms. It can help you make a smooth transition, as well as help you take control afterwards.

If my doctor prescribes HRT, may I still take PreMenora?

Yes, and you may find complementary benefits from the anti-anxiety, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and other actions of PreMenora.

I was on HRT (hormonal replacement therapy) but my doctor recently recommended that I stop it. Can I still take PreMenora?

Yes you can. PreMenora is an all natural twice-a-day supplement that was specifically developed for people entering the perimenopause and beyond. It can be used by itself, or in conjunction with HRT. Because of recent data from studies conducted by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), HRT is indicated for short term treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats and for moderate to severe symptoms of vulvar and vaginal atrophy. It is also effective for the prevention of bone loss associated with the menopause.

PreMenora is a solution for the widespread and diverse symptoms associated with the perimenopausal transition and beyond. Also, ingredients of PreMenora have been used by thousands of women around the world.

Is it safe to take PreMenora with other medications?

Yes. Of course your doctor should be aware of all medications and supplements that you are taking. PreMenora’s safety is equal to placebo in all of the studies. Also, ingredients of PreMenora have been used by hundreds and thousands of women around the world.

Only PreMenora contains this specific mixture of ingredients and in the proper concentrations and has the best bio-availability. What if I have had a hysterectomy. Should I still use PreMenora?

If you have had a hysterectomy, and particularly if your ovaries have been removed, you may find PreMenora particularly helpful, both for the short term loss of hormones as well as your long term transition through the perimenopause.

For how long can I use PreMenora?
